Ahoo Najafian

Ahoo Najafian is a Ph.D. student in the Religious Studies department at Stanford. She received her B.A. and M.A. in English Literature from the University of Tehran, Iran, and holds an M.A. in Women’s and Gender Studies from the University of British Columbia, Canada. Her work examines cultural manifestations of religion with a focus on literature and visual arts. Currently, she is writing her dissertation on the relationship between poetry and religion in contemporary Iran.
